In June 2011 our client, Robert Diaz went to a Palm Beach Hospital Emergency Room with symptoms of chest pain and dizziness. He was seen and treated at the Emergency Room and they diagnosed him with gastrointestinal issues. Mr. Diaz remained in the emergency room from 10:00 p.m. in the evening until 4:30 a.m. when he was discharged home. Several hours after his release, Mr. Diaz had a heart attack and died. A subsequent review of his medical records in the emergency room revealed abnormal cardiac tests which were suspicious for heart attack and also indicated that the staff failed to perform basic tests for an appropriate evaluation. Prior to the filing of a lawsuit, the hospital paid $1 Million Dollars to the surviving spouse.
